Gun tiers
Every gun comes in eight tiers. Work your way up the ladder by upgrading your gun with body stocks.

Bullets
- Crude bullets are free — you'll never be left without ammo.
- Metal bullets are smithed at an anvil, 100 per bar.
- Special rounds: Holo Point makes targets bleed, Armor Piercing slows them, Poison does what it says.
Overshield
Your shield bar soaks damage before your Hitpoints do. Its size is your Prayer level — so those bones finally pay off.
Teams & PvP
The colour of your armour is your team. The whole world is open PvP — except the Lumbridge castle courtyard, the one safe place in Gielinor.
City guards carry rifles now. Don't start trouble in Varrock.
Tutorial Island
New recruits start on Tutorial Island, which now teaches it all: movement, aiming, reloading, gun tiers, bullets and your overshield — alongside the fishing and firemaking you remember.
Everything else: classic 2004 RuneScape
The skills, the quests, the map, the music — it's the 2004 game you grew up with, built on LostCity revision 274. The difference: XP comes at 100x, so you'll spend your time playing, not grinding.
